Information regarding the “Solana Beach Summer Enrichment “ program
as well as information regarding the Kindergarten “Ready, Set, Go” program for Summer 2010.

The “Summer Enrichment” and “Ready, Set, Go” programs are held at Carmel Creek and Skyline school. These programs are open to all students entering grades K-7 (including students outside of the Solana Beach School District) All classes are taught by credentialed teachers.

The first day of “Summer Enrichment” and the “Ready, Set, Go” programs begin on Monday, June 28 and ends Friday, July 23. There is no school on Monday, July 5thi in observance of our July 4th, Independence Day.

Summer school hours for all students are from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon.

The cost for the 19 days of instruction for both programs is: $375 for on-line enrollment and $400 for mail, fax or walk-in registration.

Brochures and on-line enrollment information will be available in April on the Solana Beach School District website at: http://www.sbsd.k12.ca.us.

Brochures will also be available at all Solana Beach School sites, local libraries and here at the District Office at 309 N. Rios Ave.

The following information pertains to the Kindergarten “READY, SET, GO PROGRAM”:

The “Ready Set Go Program” is offered to incoming Kindergarteners (regardless of where they will attend school in the fall), before the student can attend this program the student must be 5 years old before December 2nd, 2010

This program is designed to help students prepare for kindergarten before summer ends. This is achieved by building self-confidence, learn classroom routines and make new friends. The curriculum will include sorting, patterning, graphing, counting, story comprehension, name writing, letter recognition, sounds and following directions.

Our “Ready, Set, Go” program will be offered at both Skyline school and at Carmel Creek.

When enrolling your student, please indicate the school that your child will attend in the Fall of 2010. Every effort will be made to place your child with students from that school.
